By accessing and using this website, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree, do not use this website.

2. About our service

QLD Wedding Venues is an advertising and marketing platform that connects couples with wedding venues in Queensland. We publish venue listings, destination wedding weekend guides, and planning content. We are not a booking agent, wedding planner, or party to any contract between couples and venues. Many listings are compiled from public information without the business's direct involvement. Businesses can claim their listing to manage its content.

3. Accuracy of information

Venue information on this website may not be current, complete, or accurate. Listings are compiled from publicly available information — including public business data and anonymised customer reviews — and editorial descriptions are written by QLD Wedding Venues based on that information. Descriptions are not provided or verified by the listed business unless that business has claimed its listing. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any listing, and specific details (capacity, facilities, pricing, services) should be verified directly with the venue before making decisions. Business owners can request corrections or removal of their listing at any time by contacting us.

4. Venue enquiries

When you submit an enquiry form, your personal information (name, email, phone, message) is shared with the venue you enquired about. The venue is responsible for responding. We are not responsible if a venue fails to respond or if communication between you and the venue does not result in a booking.

5. Bookings and contracts

Any booking, contract, or agreement for venue services is made directly between you and the venue. QLD Wedding Venues is not a party to these agreements and is not liable for any dispute, cancellation, or issue arising from a booking.

The same applies to accommodation and other travel services booked through affiliate links on this site — those arrangements are between you and the third-party provider (see section 12).

6. Venue owner and advertiser terms

This section applies to venues that claim, edit, or pay for listings.

• By claiming a venue listing or purchasing a featured/exclusive placement, you agree to these terms.
• You grant QLD Wedding Venues a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish, modify, and display content you provide (photos, descriptions, contact details) on this website and in marketing materials.
• You warrant that all content you provide does not infringe any intellectual property rights, is not misleading or deceptive, and complies with all applicable Australian laws including the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.
• You must comply with the Privacy Act 1988 and all applicable privacy laws when handling personal information received through enquiries from this site.
• Personal information received through enquiries (couple names, emails, phone numbers) must be kept confidential and must not be published or distributed to third parties.
• Featured and exclusive placement in our wedding weekend guides is a marketing service. We do not guarantee a specific number of enquiries, bookings, or outcomes from your placement.
• We maintain editorial control over all content on this site. We may refuse, remove, or reposition any listing at our discretion.
• For unclaimed listings, all editorial and descriptive content is generated by QLD Wedding Venues and may be modified or removed at our discretion.

7. Intellectual property

All content on this website (text, design, code, guides, structure) is owned by QLD Wedding Venues unless otherwise stated. Venue-provided content remains the intellectual property of the venue owner. Editorial descriptions and other content created by QLD Wedding Venues is owned by QLD Wedding Venues. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without written permission.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law:

• (a) We exclude all implied warranties and conditions.
• (b) We are not liable for any direct, indirect, special, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of this website, including but not limited to: inaccurate venue information, venue non-performance, site downtime, or loss of data.
• (c) Our maximum liability to you is limited to resupply of the service or refund of any fees you have paid to us.
• (d) Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.

9. Indemnity

Venue owners indemnify QLD Wedding Venues against all claims, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from: breach of these terms, inaccurate or misleading content provided by the venue, infringement of third-party intellectual property rights, or breach of any Australian law.

10. Cancellation and refunds

Venue subscriptions are month-to-month with no lock-in contract. You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds for partial months. If you hold an exclusive placement slot, cancellation opens that slot for competitors to claim.

11. Consumer reviews

If we publish reviews on this website, we maintain editorial control. Venue owners may not demand deletion of reviews. We are not liable for review content. Venue owners must not post reviews of their own venue.

12. Links to third-party websites and affiliate links

This website contains links to external websites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or services of linked websites.

Some links on this site — including accommodation links to Booking.com, Expedia and Vrbo — are affiliate links. If you click one and make a booking, QLD Wedding Venues may earn a commission from the travel brand (via our affiliate partner, Travelpayouts) at no additional cost to you. This does not influence which venues or accommodation we recommend.

Any booking made via an affiliate link is a contract between you and the third-party provider, governed by that provider's terms. We are not a party to those bookings and give no warranty about availability, pricing or the standard of the accommodation. Always check the provider's terms before booking.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. Changes are effective when published on this page. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland, Australia.
